Join us for this special Hawaiian vacation held in an atmosphere of beauty, joy and personal growth. We will stay in a beautiful and charming private home at the edge of Kealakekua Bay. From our deck, we can see the dolphins play, and can easily join them from a nearby beach. Some of the best snorkeling on the island is a short kayak paddle away at Captain Cook Bay.

The atmosphere for the week will be one of community. The evening meal will be family style. This special week offers daily yoga and meditation, Swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, kayaking and daily fun in the ocean.

Cost for the entire week:
$1,770 per person. Airfare, car-rental, snorkeling gear, and kayak rental not included.

Includes:
8 days, 7 nights shared lodging
meals: help yourself breakfast & lunch, communal dinner.

Tentative Schedule

Day 1
Arrive at Kailua-Kona airport. Rent a car and drive into
Kona to rent snorkel equipment for the week. Drive to our house rental in Kealeakekua Bay. Relax, get settled.
5:00 pm: Gentle yoga stretching
6:00: welcome orientation and dinner
8:00 evening gathering, setting our intentions, dolphin meditation

Day 2
7:00 am dolphin swim
9:00 light morning snack
10 :00 Yoga session
11:30 brunch
Suggested excursion: Drive to the Place of Refuge and explore this ancient
heiau (sacred site). Snorkel at the cove.

8:30 evening gathering

Day 3
7:00 am dolphin swim
9:00 light morning snack
10:00 Yoga session
11:30 brunch
Suggested Excursion: Drive to nearby Hokeena beach, a sand beach with picnic tables, easy swimming in the ocean, relaxation in the sun or shade.
6:30 watch the sunset at place of refuge

Day 4

9:00 light morning snack
10:00 Yoga session
11:30 brunch
Suggested excursion: visit the painted church and nearby Peace Gardens.

Day 5

9:00 Breakfast
Suggested excursion: full day trip to the volcano! Well stop the Beach for picnic lunch. Then on to Volcano National Park to explore the visitor center, hike the trails and see the Observatory and lava tube.

Suggested Excursion - visit a Kona coffee Plantation and Macadamia factory, bring home fresh kona coffee & nuts for gifts, pleasure.

Day 8
Departure Day.

I have scheduled dolphin swims every morning, although the dolphins may not appear each day. The alternative will be an island morning walk. It's also fine to sleep in and enjoy a leisurely morning in bed :) The house has an outdoor swimming pool which is great to enjoy after yoga practice.

Each day breakfasts are help yourself: toast, fruit, cereals, coffee & tea; Lunches are help yourself: sandwich makings; Each evening two people share the adventure of shopping and preparing dinner for the group on our expense. On most days you will be able to enjoy an afternoon excursion and still get back in time to prepare the meal.

The big island offers an abundance of things to see and do in the short week that we are here. For those who want to just hang out and relax at the house the entire week, that's great also. Again, It's your vacation.
