Ayurveda is the sister science to yoga. It teaches a health care system that honors each persons unique constitution (dosha) and includes recommendations for the changing of the seasons. During this retreat you will be guided through a program of both teachings and experiences designed to enhance health and well being. Each student will be given guidance for understanding their own constitutional needs and offered daily practices for sustaining health and balance in their lives. The principles are easy to learn and the techniques are fun to practice.

Daily routines include breathing exercises, yoga postures, Ayurveda oil massage, warm soaking bath, aromatherapy, dream interpretation, meditation practice and more. Meals will be light and cleansing. Recommendations for diet and the use of herbs for each persons’ constitution will be discussed.

Choosing to honor who we are enables us to create a life of balance, joy, beauty, health, happiness and peace. Each person will leave with specific lifestyle recommendations and handouts for improving their health and well being in their daily life.

This retreat is limited to 6 people for quality individual attention. We will stay in a “green constructed” home with bamboo floors and ocean views. Use of swimming pool, sauna, and lovely walking trails are included. You will have access to beaches, rivers, forests and the nearby town of Gualala for shopping and exploration.

Cost for Gualala retreat:
$1050. per person for private room; $850. per person for shared room.

Includes:
3 nights, 4 days accommodations at ocean view sea ranch house
Daily meals (cleansing diet) with options for those who want to eat more.
Daily yoga/meditation classes with Annalisa
Private session in Soaking Jacuzzi tub with herbs for calming and relaxing.
Use of Sea Ranch swimming pool, sauna, walking trails.
Nearby beaches, forests, hiking trails and the Gualala River.

Please note that everything is optional. It's your vacation. Also the schedule may change due to undetermined factors. This is a tentative schedule. The area offers an abundance of things to see and do in the short weekend that we are here. For those who want to just hang out and relax at the house the entire time, that's great also.

Day 1
Arrive, get settled. Enjoy the beach & ocean.
4:30 gentle stretching, unwinding from the drive.
6:00 dinner (fresh fish, rice, steamed veggies)
8:30 introductions, setting our intentions

Day 2
8:00am: wake up & write down your dreams
8:30: Good morning yoga class!
10:00 light breakfast (organic coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal)
11:00: Discover your Ayurveda dosha
1:00pm: Lunch (kitchari, steamed veggies)
free time to enjoy the area: walk to the beach, swim or sauna, browse the shops of Gualala, or just rest and enjoy.
4:00 - 6:00 Private Jacuzzi soak with aromatherapy herbs (20 minutes per person)
6:30 dinner (soup, bread with goats cheese & tomato)
8:00pm dream interpretation and meditation

Day 3
8:00am: wake up & write down your dreams
8:30: Good morning yoga class!
10:00 light breakfast (organic coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit, quinoa)
11:00 Ayurveda nasal cleanse and pranayama breathing
Noon: Lunch (kitchari, steamed veggies)
free time to enjoy the area: walk to the beach, swim or sauna, browse the shops of Gualala, or just rest and enjoy.
4:00 - 6:00 Private Jacuzzi soak with aromatherapy herbs (20 minutes per person)
6:30 dinner: (soup, bread with goats cheese & tomato)
8:00 Ayurveda massage techniques for relaxation

Day 4
8:00am Good morning yoga class
10:00 brunch (tea, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt)
12:00 departure.
